Grade OMR answer sheets with your phone

Paper exams still have their place, but marking them by hand does not. Quizic prints the OMR answer sheet and reads your students' marks through a phone camera, with no dedicated scanner.

How OMR scanning works in Quizic

  1. Enter the correct answers. Your questions can stay on your own paper: an answer key alone is enough.
  2. Print the answer sheet and hand it out with the exam.
  3. Open Scan answer sheets and choose the exam.
  4. Line up the six black squares on the sheet with the boxes on screen. The photo is taken automatically when they all turn green.
  5. Repeat for the next sheet. You can also upload a photo instead of using the camera.

What you need

A phone or computer with a camera and a printer for the sheets. Because Quizic runs in the browser, there is no scanner hardware to buy. For a clear read, keep the whole sheet flat and well lit so all six squares are visible.

Do I need an OMR scanner machine?
No. A phone camera is enough, and you can also upload a photo of a sheet.
Can I use my own question paper?
Yes. Enter only the answer key, print the answer sheet and keep your questions on your own paper.
Which plans include OMR scanning?
Answer sheets and scanning are part of the Pro and Enterprise plans. They are not included in the Free plan.
